New Business Development Sales and Business Leader

About the role:

 

This role entails spearheading the go-to-market and distribution strategy for our company. You will be instrumental in establishing and directing the sales team, focusing on funeral homes, and orchestrating intricate deals with sophisticated distribution partners. This includes managing the entire deal pipeline, forging product partnerships, and crafting optimal commercial terms. Moreover, you will nurture pivotal relationships with stakeholders at partner organizations, operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, playing a crucial role in shaping and driving our commercial strategy.

 

Set the Strategy:

 

- Lead a sales team dedicated to collaborating with funeral homes, identifying prime targets and strategies to expedite signings and enhance performance.

- Collaborate closely with co-founders and investors to explore new verticals for partnership opportunities, including pioneering negotiation of groundbreaking deals.

- Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.

- Define the sales process, outlining the roles of funeral homes, Alix SDRs, and the care team in the customer acquisition journey.

- Design partner product packages and incentives, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset to innovate and redefine industry norms.

 

Execute for Results:

 

- Take ownership of the pipeline across key verticals, focusing on driving customer adoption in various sectors such as funeral homes, insurance companies, and channel partners.

- Oversee the entire deal pipeline, ensuring a balanced approach between new opportunities and business objectives.

- Lead the product partner strategy, structuring key deals with technology companies to enhance the Alix experience.

- Manage ongoing relationships with existing partners, identifying areas for improvement and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

- Streamline the process from onboarding new distribution partners to driving Alix adoption, creating a scalable playbook for rapid expansion.

 

Build and Lead Teams:

 

- Establish and lead a team of Business Development associates or consultants with specialized industry knowledge across key verticals.

- Align team size with business objectives, demonstrating foresight and planning capabilities.

- Utilize data and objectives to instill accountability, motivating the team to achieve results.

 

The Ideal Candidate Profile:

 

- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding goals and KPIs.

- Proven experience in driving strategy development, partner relations, and negotiation in a fast-paced startup environment.

- Strong negotiation skills and adeptness in communicating at the C-Level.

- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality outcomes within defined timelines.

- Bias towards action and a propensity for innovation.
