Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead our dynamic team in efficiently managing construction materials within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Material Handling: Oversee the receipt, unloading, and organization of construction materials, ensuring accurate counts and thorough inspections for damage or defects.

 

2. Inventory Management: Take charge of maintaining accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and initiate supply reorders to meet project demands effectively.

 

3. Organizational Skills: Develop and implement systematic approaches to arrange and label materials for easy accessibility. Optimize warehouse space with efficient storage solutions while ensuring cleanliness and organization.

 

4. Equipment Operation: Lead the safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to facilitate the movement and transport of materials.

 

5. Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures by inspecting incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and promptly reporting discrepancies or issues to supervisors.

 

6. Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines to foster a secure working environment. Report safety hazards, incidents, or accidents promptly.

 

7. Collaboration: Foster close collaboration with construction site teams to coordinate timely material deliveries, ensuring projects are adequately supplied.

 

8. Communication: Maintain effective communication channels with supervisors, colleagues, and vendors, relaying information about inventory levels, material specifications, and delivery schedules.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Previous experience in a construction warehouse or similar managerial role is preferred.

- Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment (beneficial but not required).

- Physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and oversee manual labor tasks.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a warehouse or construction setting.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
