HSE Manager

The HSE Manager will lead all initiatives providing for the health and safety of the workforce, environment, and those they come in contact with during business. As an HSE manager, the individual will train, coach, and mentor to create and maintain a culture of safety, responsibility, and accountability.

 

Primary Job Function

1. Serve as HSE Champion for all Our Client employees and company assets.

2. Lead all training, coaching, and documentation tasks within all areas of HSE.

3. Set the strategy for safety performance and compliance in all departments.

4. Report and present on company performance in HSE

5. Lead presentations and safety meetings

6. Monitor activities and compliance

7. Stay current on the latest HSE initiatives through research and industry news and information sources.

8. Benchmark company performance against the industry to achieve zero injuries and zero vehicle incidents.

Education and Experience

Formal Education: College degree, preferably in Health and Safety related major.

 

Required / Credentials

1. Formal Safety Training in previous experience

2. Formal environmental compliance training in previous work experience

·      Smith System Driver Training Instructor

·      Trainer – Material Handling and Lifting equipment

·      OSHA 300 Instructor

·      First Aid / AED Instructor

·      First Responder Training

·      Active Shooter Training

•      Updating of Knowledge: Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.

·      Problem Solving: Job requires complex problem-solving ability with little guidance. Independent research and analysis are sometimes required to develop solutions.
