Superintendent

Eastern Massachusetts / Manchester, NH  - Travel required

 

As a Superintendent your primary responsibility is to oversee all work on the jobsite, anticipate problems and coordinate subcontractors to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Ensure proper flow and coordination of all subcontractor work

·        Manage all aspects of building process according to established quality standards

·        Maintain construction schedule and manage costs

·        Conducts daily site inspections of all subcontractor work to monitor progress and anticipate problems

·        Ensure proper safety procedures are followed at all times

·        Conduct weekly safety meetings

·        Conduct safety meetings at intervals required by OSHA and/or the special needs of each job site

·        Ensure proper documentation is kept regarding Daily Logs: jobsite progress and problems, accident reports, safety issues and possible delays

·        Conduct meetings with clients, officials and staff to implement proper installation and phasing of work

·        Oversee General Contractor Labor and regulate time and workload

·        Responsible for material control of all construction materials at site

·        Other miscellaneous duties as required by the job/client

 

Qualifications:

·        3-5 years of commercial construction experience (government, municipal, commercial, healthcare preferred)

·        Qualified applicant must possess excellent organization, communication, coordination and prioritization

·        Ability to read and interpret construction documents (drawings; specifications; geotechnical reports; etc)

·        Ability to formulate job schedules and forecast for potential delays

·        Basic computer skills (familiarity with MS Office)

·        Experience with a daily logs and construction documentation (Procore a plus)

·        Ability to commute around New England (considered a plus)

·        Strong, proactive management skills to oversee labor staff, including subcontractors, to ensure completion of project on time and on budget

·        Clean DMV history, pass background check
