Product Manager, Shopper Experience

 

Position Summary: 

The Shopper Experience Product team at the Client Company is responsible for building products that connect brands, content creators, retailers, advertising, and technology to create unique experiences for our Brand client’s customers. The products in this portfolio include Conversational Commerce (chatbot), Custom websites, Add-to-Cart, Sweepstakes, etc.

 

As a Shopper Experience Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for customer discovery, experimentation, strategic roadmap planning, and product development. You will collaborate with other Product Managers across the Martech division to build products that deliver outcomes for our brand and retail customers. Additionally, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and Software Engineering to define and prioritize user stories in the backlog, delivering releases regularly in an agile environment.

 

The Product Manager or Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining, managing, and communicating features based on the quarterly and annual objectives. The ideal candidate should bring a deep understanding of product management, ideally including experience in user experience or advertising, to inform strategy and the innovation roadmap. In addition, they should effectively identify solutions that solve customer problems and deliver key results for the Martech division.

 

Primary Accountabilities: 

Technical (40%)

  • Create prototypes to gather feedback and test solutions.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies extensively with Engineering.
  • Gather Requirements and document user stories in the backlog.
  • Create wireframes to communicate UX.
  • Ensure proper QA testing of products and triage issues as needed.

Project Management (25%)

  • Identify and remove roadblocks for new products or enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on go-to-market tasks including collateral; Sales and Solutions Manager training; and coordinating deliverables for launch from key stakeholders.
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule. 
  • Work with partners on integrations that add value to the Shopper Experience suite of products.

Analytical (25%)

  • Assist with reporting visualization and storytelling to ensure data products present easily digestible and actionable data to users. 
  • Create and integrate analytics solutions, e.g., Google Analytics, to support media optimization, client reporting, and user experience improvements.
  • Use performance data to inform future product iterations.

Strategic (10%)

  • Research emerging market trends, new technologies, and shopper behavior.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features, and end products.
  • Identify products and features that deliver outcomes and align with the Client Company’s Martech vision and strategy.

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in product management, preferably with B2B products (5+ for Senior Product Manager)
  • Demonstrated ability to speak confidently about the product and value proposition
  • Ability to clearly articulate the product vision and get consensus from multiple stakeholders
  • Experience defining epics and user stories in an agile environment using tools such as Jira
  • Knowledge of software development practices, including an understanding of APIs, etc.
  • Proficient in tools to create presentations, flowcharts, mockups, prototypes, etc.
  • Travel required (0-5%)

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with analytics tools, e.g., Google Analytics 4, Mixpanel, Amplitude.
  • Experience with data tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, Power BI, etc.
  • Ability to understand and edit SQL queries, HTML, javascript, and JSON.
  • Experience with social media platforms, chatbots, or website development.
  • Experience with paid social media campaigns
