Executive Assistant / Sales Operations

Our client has served manufacturers and distributors by procuring hard-to-find electronic components. They have been in business for over 30 years and are looking for someone to work with the CEO and President with sales, purchasing and general office tasks. This role is Manhattan, NYC based.

 

About the Job:

-Sales Administration: Become an expert in their ERP system, enter prices, process orders and maintain records. Use your excellent communication skills to follow-up on quotes, provide customers with order status and confirm orders. Facilitate order fulfillment.

-Purchasing: Lead the purchasing effort by calling suppliers to get pricing and negotiate prices to get the best deal. Track orders.

-General Office: Contribute by helping the team receive the merchandise and log it into their system. Occasionally perform internet searches to find sales channels and customers for obsolete parts. In addition, collaborate with the team to assist with general office work.

About You:

-You must be comfortable making phone calls to customers and suppliers, in addition to using computer systems and doing online searches for products. Good communication skills and a commitment to great service are a must.

-Have the genuine desire to help management get work done.

-Care deeply about satisfying the customer’s needs.

-Detailed-oriented, motivated individual with a positive attitude and desire to grow with our company.

-Familiarity with the Pentagon 2000 ERP system a plus.
