Content Lead
Reports to: VP of Marketing
Based at: San Francisco, CA Office (SOMA)

150 million transactions, valued at $4 billion in GMV. They combine advanced
ecommerce technology and a desire to solve online seller problems to help

We are looking for a new addition
to our Marketing team to focus on content creation and strategy. Your need to
believe in the power of great content to be a good fit for this position!
Content can help our customers better run their businesses, become established
as a thought leader in the eCommerce and subscription management space, and
communicate value to diverse audiences. An ideal candidate is passionate about
great copy, telling stories, and
crafting content that people genuinely love to read. This is a new role and
comes with the opportunity to define the future of content in the company.

 

What You’ll Do Here

·     
Develop and execute on a
comprehensive content strategy for customer acquisition and growing our brand
voice.

·     
Manage and create a rich content
calendar that supports a regular cadence of various types of content including:
blog posts, white papers, ebooks, reports, videos, infographics, that are aligned
to the buyer journey.

·     
Develop our editorial style guide
and tone guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand voice.

·     
Serve as Pilot's in-house editor
for both internal and external content.

·     
Measure and optimize the
effectiveness of our content by developing reporting, KPIs, and metrics for
each content channel

·     
Lead the distribution and
promotion strategy for content pieces with SEO, email, content syndication, and
partnering with demand generation.

 

Required Experience, Knowledge,
and Skills

·     
4+ years experience in
copywriting or journalism, ideally in a B2B environment.

·     
Superior writing skills. You’ll
need to demonstrate you can successfully write and edit content for a
specialized industry.

·     
Understand the connection between
content and SEO. You’ll need to create content that helps SEO efforts.

·     
Ability to think critically and
analytically when evaluating projects. You don’t need to be a

·     
data analyst, but you should be
able to identify success metrics, track, and report the impacts of projects.

·     
Strong knowledge and/or previous
experience in e-commerce and subscription management is a huge plus. You don’t
need it, but you will need to become a subject matter expert and understand the
space deeply in order to create powerful content.
